College Basketball is Here!

The great thing about November is that you have college football and college basketball. So basically that means that I can hate Notre Dame and Duke at the same time. Not only do you have Lou Holtz on ESPN fueling the fire of hatred for Notre Dame, but know you are also gonna get a helping of Dookie V Dick Vitale loving all over Duke. Don't ever underestimate how exceptional this time is for Haters everywhere! I have set the over/under on how many times Vitale mentions Coach K's gold medal this summer at 7 times a game. Here is a few youtube clips for all of you Duke haters, this goes out to the Carolina Boys.

Where Duke Happens

Nothing is better in College Basketball than the Scheyerface! I was initially upset when John Scheyer picked Duke over Illinois, considering he is from Illinois and Bruce Weber's brother was his high school coach. Yet if he had, than we would not have had Maryland fans creating such an amazingly funny scenario, because lets face it, Iowa and Indiana students aren't nearly this clever.

Fast forward to the 1:00 mark to see the creation of the Scheyerface.

Illini Clip: This is the reason that Marrioti is a total d-bag and why Wilbon is awesome. And No, I am not gonna let this Eric Gordon Saga end until he busts out of the NBA, and I can buy a used car from him in Indianapolis in 5 years.

The Illini's first actual game is this Friday against Eastern Washington. I have watched both exhibition games and all I know is that I don't know crap about this team. Nobody has played consistent except for Mike Davis, so we will see what happens. I still think that they will win 20 games because they have a pretty easy schedule this year, and Brian Randle has graduated. The exhibition games are on Bigtennetwork.com under the streaming games and archives. The game Friday will be online as well. The only good thing about Jamar Smith getting kicked off the basketball team is that we won't have to hear I-L-L ... D-U-I chants this year. Actually we probably will because as I stated before, Iowa and Indiana students are not clever.
