It's early Monday morning, and not only did the Illini pull out a squeaker against Iowa that they tried unsuccessfully to lose, but D Rose had a great Saturday and the Bears won a "thriller" against Detroit, so theoretically all should be well in DurtyButter land. However, with the resurgence of Michael Jackson due to the 25th anniversary of Thriller, so to do Bears fans have the resurgence of their own monster... REX GROSSMAN.
Late in the second quarter, Bears surprise "franchise" quarterback Kyle Orton rolled his ankle and ESPN is reporting that he will be out for at least a month. While this may have been great news a couple years ago, this time Orton was playing like a bona fide NFL quarterback, giving hope to a franchise that's been through more quarterbacks than DurtyButter has frosty cold ones. And great timing too, considering that the Bears meet the undefeated Titans next week. Can't wait to listen to the sports talk radio this week, Rex I hope your ears are ready to ring. Playoff run, it was nice, I look forward to seeing you again next year.
