Bruce and Co. continued to kick the shit out of everyone when it comes to recruiting Illinois talent. They got a verbal today from Tracy Abrams, who is a point guard in the 2011 class from Mt. Carmel. Abrams is the No. 1 rated player in the 2011 class in Illinois by some publications, while others have him in the top 5. More importantly also plays with 3 other major recruits that are also in the top 5 from Illinois, so since Illinois has 5 spots open in that class, look for it to be another at least top 10 recruiting class.

So now that we have a point guard to come in for 2011, look for Mike Shaw and Sam Thompson to get the most attention now from the Illini coaching staff.
